Kalenda, a Romanian furniture and home décor retailer with nationwide presence, is expanding its operations by leasing 2,500 sq m at Industra Park Iași, a logistics park owned and managed by Oresa Industra, the real estate division of the Oresa family office.
The transaction allows Industra Park Iași to maintain a 100% occupancy rate, making it the largest industrial and logistics park in the Iași region. Through this expansion, Kalenda enters the Iași market, strengthening its capacity to serve Romania’s North-East region. The leased space will be used for a showroom as well as logistics and warehousing activities.
The leased area is part of the existing Industra Park Iași development, a Class A project with direct access to the future A8 motorway and connection to the European road E58 — factors that supported Kalenda’s decision to develop a new showroom in this location.
“Thanks to its location, our park attracts clients from diverse business sectors. Our mission is to remain agile and flexible in order to meet these needs. We aim to build long-term partnerships and to remain the leading player in the Moldova region and beyond,” stated Lorena Brehuescu, Investment & Leasing Manager, Oresa Industra.
“The decision to open a furniture showroom represents a strategic opportunity for Kalenda, supported by ongoing real estate development and increasing purchasing power in the region. Iași has consolidated its position as a regional hub, with a steady volume of new residential developments, generating consistent demand for furniture. The new showroom will be inaugurated in April,” added Bogdan Besenyei, General Manager, Kalenda.
Kalenda is a Romanian furniture and home décor retailer with nationwide coverage, operating both online and through a network of showrooms across several cities in Romania. The company recorded revenues exceeding RON 60 million in 2025, continuously developing its logistics and distribution capabilities nationwide.
Industra Park Iași has a total leasable area of over 36,000 sq m and is set to deliver an additional 15,000 sq m of Class A logistics space later this year. The park is currently fully leased, with tenants including Mobexpert, LEAR Corporation, Tester, Ropharma, Antalis and Side Grup.
Oresa Industra’s portfolio extends nationwide, with major projects in Arad and Bucharest, totaling over 100,000 sq m of completed and ongoing developments. Oresa Industra is the real estate division of the investment group Oresa, a Swedish-capital company present in Central and Eastern Europe since 1995 and active on the Romanian market.
