Sezamo appoints Michael Kaiser as Country Lead in Romania

    Published on

Online supermarket Sezamo announces the appointment of Michael Kaiser as Country Lead for Romania, effective as of November 2025.

Michael Kaiser brings over 25 years of experience in retail and operations and has been closely involved in the development of Sezamo’s business in Romania over the past four years. In his new role, he assumes full responsibility for local strategy and execution, with a strong focus on reliable deliveries, a product assortment better tailored to the local market, and a smoother, more convenient shopping experience for customers.

“This is not a change of direction, but a continuation,” said Michael Kaiser, Country Lead Sezamo Romania. “Over the past four years, I have helped build Sezamo in Romania with a constant focus on freshness, quality, and customer trust. My role now is to strengthen these foundations and make every day online grocery shopping even more reliable and relevant, while deepening our collaboration with local producers.”

“While local leadership is being strengthened, continuity remains essential,” said Olin Novák, Chief Revenue Officer of Rohlik Group. “I continue to oversee the group’s commercial and marketing strategy across all markets, including Romania. This ensures a consistent value proposition, the sharing of best practices, and a strong customer focus, while at the same time giving local teams the autonomy they need to respond quickly to market-specific needs.”
