The conference addressed essential themes for the future of the energy sector, exploring female leadership at the intersection of power, perseverance and courage. The discussions followed the professional path of energy leaders and how female management specifically contributes to the evolution of the industry. The event brought together over 100 participants, with the objective of highlighting the importance of gender diversity in decision-making positions and, at the same time, inspiring the new generations of female leaders in energy.

The event was opened by Ionuț Diaconu, FEL Member, and the official speech was given by Ion Lungu, CNR-CME President and Olivian Savin, FEL Romania Executive Director. FEL Romania founder Elena Ratcu took the floor as the special speaker of this edition and gave a moving speech about the 14 years of existence of the youth energy community, emphasizing the role of the organization in training future leaders of this sector.

The first panel, moderated by Raluca Andronoiu, Marketing and Communication Manager of FEL Romania, highlighted the challenges and female role models in the industry, as well as the need to increase the visibility of women in key positions. “We are delighted that Women in Energy, now in its fifth edition, is shaping up to be a landmark event in the energy sector and a long-term commitment to supporting and promoting leadership. We will continue to support visibility, education and collaboration for a more balanced and stronger energy sector. The transformation of the energy industry does not belong to one gender, one generation or one role, but to all of us, and we cannot build an industry of the future without real diversity of thought, experience and leadership.

Our community is where these things happen, and this progress is possible thanks to all those who stand by us and contribute, directly or indirectly, to these objectives”, says Olivian Savin, Executive Director of FEL Romania.

The audience enjoyed a surprise artistic moment, dedicated to the Women in Energy community, which complemented the inspirational atmosphere of the event.
