    Gala by ARIR 2025: 15 listed companies were awarded for excellence in investor communication

    ARIR (the Romanian Investor Relations Association), the promoter of the Investor Relations (IR) concept, brought together over 100 capital market professionals, specialists, leaders of listed companies, and representatives of state institutions for a new edition of the Gala by ARIR, an event dedicated to performance, authentic communication, and innovation in investor relations.

    This year’s edition brought into the spotlight 15 listed companies and the professionals involved in investor communication, recognized for their excellence in communication and transparency. The awards covered 11 categories to reflect the market’s diversity and dynamism, ranging from large and mid-sized companies to issuers on the AeRO market. The evaluation of the companies was carried out using two methodologies: through Extel, a platform dedicated to internationally active institutional investors, and by a jury of 11 capital market experts, complemented by the institutional investors’ vote conducted via the Extel platform. The awards are granted based on the activity carried out in 2024.

    • Best CEO: Christina Verchere, OMV Petrom; Omer Tetik, Banca Transilvania; Karoly Borbely, Hidroelectrica; Răzvan Popescu, Romgaz;
    • Best CFO: Alina Popa, OMV Petrom; George Călinescu, Banca Transilvania; Valentin Budeș, Sphera Franchise Group; Marian Fetița, Hidroelectrica;
    • Best IRO: Adriana Marin, OMV Petrom; Aurel Bernat, Diana Mazurchievici, Banca Transilvania; Zuzanna Kurek, Sphera Franchise Group.

    • Best Best IR Representative: Large Cap – Aurel Bernat, Banca Transilvania; Small/Mid Cap – Valentin Budeș, Sphera Franchise Group;
    • Best IR Innovation: Electrica;
    • Best IR Website: Banca Transilvania;
    • Rising Star Main Market – Emanuela Târnoveanu, Hidroelectrica;
    • AeRO: Best IR & Communication, and Company of the Year – DN AGRAR Group;
    • AeRO: Rising Star – Peter de Boer, DN AGRAR Group.

    The ARIR Special Recognition for Consistency in IR was awarded to Farmaceutica Remedia.

    For 54 years, Extel (formerly Institutional Investor Research) has produced highly recognised, independent research evaluating quality across key markets and stakeholder groups. For the IR industry, Extel conducts independent research with global investment and sell-side professionals who evaluate CEOs, CFOs, IROs and IR Programs across 20+ performance metrics.
