Jakub Kotala, previously CFO of the global Construction Chemicals division, has been appointed CEO of Saint-Gobain Romania, following the appointment of Ovidiu Păscuțiu, the former CEO, as Vice President of the Saint-Gobain Group, Performance Segment Insulation.
“For me, quality leadership is about creating an environment in which people are empowered to deliver their very best. I place great value on cultivating relationships grounded in trust, transparency, and authentic collaboration – I lead with people at the heart of every decision, honouring their perspectives and striving to build a shared vision for the future. As I begin my mandate, my priority will be to listen and learn, so I can fully appreciate the unique qualities of the Romanian market and the robust organizational culture already in place. I firmly believe that the key to sustainable success lies in fostering teams who are motivated, supported, engaged, and above all, dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of both our current and future customers. By putting people at the centre of our pursuit of operational excellence, encouraging local innovation, and amplifying our positive impact in the communities where we operate, we will ensure that our efforts remain closely aligned with those we serve. I am committed to shaping a forward-looking vision rooted in the Group’s values, and to building on the remarkable progress Saint-Gobain Romania has already achieved.” – said Jakub Kotala, the new CEO of Saint-Gobain Romania.
Effective July 1st, Saint-Gobain has started a global-scale process to deepen its multi-local model – a key to the Group’s success over the past six years – to accelerate the growth of Saint-Gobain solutions country by country. All the Group’s product lines will be managed locally by the CEOs, who are responsible for the operational and financial performance of all activities in the countries where they operate.
