    Romanian Post invests four million euros to modernize its vehicle fleet

    The Romanian Post has started the procedure for the acquisition of 80 modern vans, for faster, safer and more efficient transport, the total estimated investment for this acquisition being 18.96 million lei, excluding VAT.

    “The acquisition is part of a large process of transformation and digitalization of the company, along with recent investments in IT equipment, automation and the development of new services, adapted to customer expectations,” the company informed in a press release.

    According to the company, currently, the Romanian Post operates with over 1,000 vehicles. The 80 new vehicles will be acquired through financial leasing for four years and will benefit from CASCO insurance for the entire period and RCA for the first year.

    Romanian Post is the national operator in the field of postal services and is owned by the Romanian state, represented by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization (93.52% of the share package) and Fondul Proprietatea (6.48% of the share package).
