    Published on

NETOPIA Group, one of the leading providers of digital payment solutions in Romania, announces changes in its top management team. Starting with March 14, 2025, Marius Costin takes over the role of CEO, and Niculae Vasile becomes CTO, both positions previously held by co-founder Felix Crisan.

This moment marks a new chapter for NETOPIA Group, which continues the accelerated development plan started together with the investment fund INNOVA Capital in September 2023, upon the acquisition of the majority stake in NETOPIA Group.

Marius Costin, the new CEO of NETOPIA Group, has a 10-year experience in digital payments and fintech, as well as almost 20 years in the sector of payments and telecommunications, in leading companies in Central and Eastern Europe and globally. Before joining NETOPIA, Marius Costin held the position of CEO for Central and Eastern Europe within a regional BNPL player, where he oversaw the growth and development of the company’s operations in Poland, Romania and Bulgaria, as well as its expansion into new markets.

“I am honored by this vote of confidence that I received by appointing myself as CEO. NETOPIA is a player that I have admired from afar in our highly competitive industry. I have great respect for the team that NETOPIA has built over its 20 years of activity, and I intend to contribute to this team effort and to an accelerated growth in the next 4 years.” – Marius Costin, Chief Executive Officer, NETOPIA Group.
