    Holcim Romania invests over 700,000 euros in the aggregates plant in Stăncești, Prahova County

    Holcim Romania has made an investment of over 700,000 euros in the Stăncești aggregates plant, Prahova County, in a state-of-the-art facility for water recycling and purification, as well as in other improvements to the operational flow.

    “Since taking over the aggregates division, my main objectives have been to increase the efficiency of processes within existing operations through intelligent systems, to expand the portfolio of products and solutions and to make strategic investments, in line with Holcim Romania’s sustainability objectives. This investment is clear proof of our commitment to developing operations, with ambitious objectives including in water use,” said Remus Viscol – Aggregates Director, Holcim Romania.

    With this investment of over 450,000 euros in water recycling and purification, the aggregates plant has reduced the amount of water used by approx. 80%, achieving a high score on environmental standards.

    The Stăncești aggregates plant produces natural aggregates and materials for infrastructure projects (roads, highways, bridges), as well as for residential and office construction for the metropolitan areas of Ilfov, Prahova, Dâmbovița, in the Southern region of Romania.
