    Published on

For the first time in Romania, the European Businesswomen’s Federation – PEFA launches the Women’s Entrepreneurship Index-IAF, an essential tool for measuring and understanding the impact of women’s contribution to the Romanian economy and in the decision-making process at all levels, nationally, regionally and within international institutions.

This index provides a detailed analysis of the dynamics of female entrepreneurship, facilitating strategic decision-making and the formulation of effective public policies.

“The Women’s Entrepreneurship Index represents an important step in strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Romania. Through this instrument, we want to provide both the authorities and the business environment with a clear picture of the realities and opportunities offered by increasing awareness of the importance of women’s participation in the decision-making process at all levels, nationally, regionally and within international institutions”, said Andreea Negru, President of the European Businesswomen’s Federation -PEFA.

PEFA First Vice President, Lorena Stoian, says: “The launch of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Index underlines PEFA’s commitment to supporting and promoting entrepreneurial initiatives, contributing to the development of a fair and sustainable business environment in Romania. Women entrepreneurs in Romania have immense potential, and this index is a concrete step towards recognizing, supporting and maximizing this potential.”

The launch of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Index is possible thanks to the support provided by BCR, as a strategic partner, and Pluxee Romania. BCR and Pluxee Romania, together with the European Business Women’s Confederation – PEFA, support this innovative initiative, unique in Romania, aimed at increasing visibility, support and trust in the essential role of women in sustainable economic development and in building a modern society.

“For BCR, normalizing women’s involvement in business is a strategic priority. “Women entrepreneurs are the ones who support economic dynamics and the industries of the future, being an important contributor to everything that means innovation, digital transformation and sustainable development. We are happy to be with PEFA, because the local perspective and data help us transform inspiration into relevant actions and impact. And the launch of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Index is a concrete step to put female entrepreneurship at the center of Romania’s economic growth, through courage, access to resources and real opportunities,” said Dana Dima, Vice President of Retail & Private Banking, BCR.

The European Businesswomen’s Federation (PEFA) is a member organization of IMM Romania, dedicated to promoting and supporting entrepreneurship at national and European level. Through its initiatives, PEFA aims to create a modern, inclusive and fair business environment.
