    Hidroelectrica launches card payments in the iHidro app

    Hidroelectrica announces new facilities for its customers: online payment of electricity bills via bank cards and a new online contracting portal for business customers.

    As part of its digitization strategy, Hidroelectrica together with PayU GPO Romania and Visa, leaders in the field of digital payments, improves the customer experience, ensuring new payment methods, the application being accessible on Android and IOS, as well as in a web version iHidro.ro.

Digitization is an essential step in aligning with current trends and strengthening Hidroelectrica’s position on the energy market.”

    Hidroelectrica, the largest producer of green energy in Romania, operates 187 hydropower plants with a total capacity of 6.3 GW and owns a wind farm with an installed capacity of 108 MW, also covering 13.9% of the competitive electricity market from the country.
