Garanti BBVA: 13 percent of loan applications now submitted exclusively online, four months after launching this service

    Published on

Garanti BBVA reports its results four months after introducing new functionalities in the Mobile Banking app, enabling clients to apply for personal loans and Bonus Cards without visiting branches. After 4 months from the launch, in October, 13 percent of loan applications and 21 percent of Bonus Card requests have been now submitted exclusively online, directly through the app.

The bank aims to have most of the applications via online channel, considering that money transfers and lending options in the mobile banking application save significant costs and time for customers.

Launched in June, the online lending feature allows existing clients to apply for personal loans or Bonus Cards 24/7, from anywhere in the world, using just a smartphone and an internet connection.

“We are pleased with the increased interest in our online services and the performance of our digital platform. In just four months, we have seen a significant rise in online applications, which reflects our clients’ trust in our digital solutions. Simplifying access to finance is a key part of our commitment to improving the experience for our existing clients. We are inviting you to be a part of Garanti BBVA’s customer family and experience from first hand our innovations, while comfortably sitting in your homes”, stated Tolga Banyocu, Deputy General Manager, Client Solutions Area, Garanti BBVA.

Garanti BBVA Romania is owned by Garanti BBVA, the second-largest private bank in Türkiye per consolidated asset size. The Spanish financial group Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) is the majority shareholder of Garanti BBVA.
