Transelectrica launches pilot application for forecasting the electricity produced by prosumers

    Published on

Transelectrica developed in collaboration with Teletrans, the IT and telecommunications subsidiary, a pilot application for forecasting the electricity produced by prosumers, as an initiative aimed at supporting all market participants.

The application calculates the estimated productions at prosumers both one day and two days before the reference day, at the national level, but also at the level of each individual county. The data provided by this application are intended to help operators in the market, so that the optimal operation of the National Electric Power System is ensured.

The new pilot application is publicly available on the Transelectrica website at https://web.transelectrica.ro/prosumatori/ and is in the process of continuous improvement, based on the feedback of all interested parties.

According to the data provided by the National Energy Regulatory Authority at the end of May 2024, the power installed at the prosumers in the National Electric Power System was 1780 MW, and in the near future a significant evolution of the increase in their installed capacity is expected.
