Telekom Romania Mobile recorded 1.951 million Post paid subscribers at the end of the second quarter of 2024, up 4.7 percent compared with the same period of last year, continuing the trend of subscribers’ base growth since Q4 2020. In the same period, the total customer base stood at 3.60 million subscribers, down 11.4 percent as compared to same period last year, driven by the optimization of some marketing activities.

As of 30 of June 2024, Telekom Romania Mobile recorded total revenues of EUR 66.7 million, down 3.7 percent, as compared to the same period in 2023. Mobile service revenues were impacted by customer-retention promotions in prior periods and an additional 50 percent MTR cut has been implemented, as of the beginning of 2024. Other revenues were up in the quarter, mainly reflecting higher handset sales.

Charalampos Mazarakis, CEO Telekom Romania Mobile: “We stay focused on providing customers’ excellence to our clients, with products and services that are tailored on their needs, while we are aiming for optimizing and transforming our company’s business toward a more digital experience.”

In June 2024, Telekom Romania Mobile has launched a special offering, for both prepaid and postpaid customers under the statement “Come into Unlimited Shop and you get all for 3 euro!”. The offering is addressed to residential customers and entrepreneurs and follows the launch of VoWiFi service, which provides the opportunity of communicating from any location, through WiFi internet.
