Delgaz Grid continues its investments in smart meters and in the modernization of electrical networks in Suceava. The works started at the end of last year have been completed in 7 of the 38 areas included in the project. Almost 3,000 smart meters and 170 electrical panels have been installed so far.

The investment is co-financed with over 60.7 million RON from the European Regional Development Fund, the company’s contribution being over 13.7 million RON, to which is added VAT in the amount of 14.1 million RON.

As part of the project, a total of over 10,500 smart meters will be installed at consumers in the neighborhoods of George Enescu, Zamca, Mărășești and Centru in the municipality of Suceava.

The Delgaz Grid company has installed, until the end of 2023, about 435,000 smart meters for consumers in Moldova, with the perspective of installing about 71,500 more meters in 2024. Thus, at the end of this year, around 32 percent of customers will benefit from the smart metering system, and by the end of 2028, will reach 47 percent through new installations.
