    CONPET completes works to replace the connecting wires on the import crude oil transport pipelines, undercrossing the Danube and the Borcea Branch

    CONPET organized the reception at the completion of the project “Providing design services and execution of works in order to achieve the objective of replacing connecting wires crossing the Danube C1-C2 and the Borcea Branch C3-C4”, an event that took place in Fetesti, Ialomița county.

    The joint venture contract, the total value of which amounts to 26.5 million euros, was concluded on August 30, 2021, with the Association CIS GAZ S.A., as the leader of the association, and HORIZONTAL DRILLING INTERNATIONAL S.A.S., company international specialized in horizontal directional drilling.

    The execution works (Construcții Montaj) started in May 2022 and were completed in March 2023, four months before the contracted term.

    The project represents one of the main investment objectives of the company CONPET S.A., with a major impact on the environment, safety, and national security.

    “CONPET proves once again that through the investment programs undertaken year after year, it succeeds in bringing operational safety to the highest level. Through the technical solution adopted, the staged horizontal drilling, and through the scale of the works, the project is unique within the CONPET company and involved a significant financial effort,” said Dorin Tudor, general director of CONPET S.A.
