    Metropolitan Life announces 26 percent increase in gross written premiums in 2021

    Metropolitan Life Romania announces a 26 percent increase in gross written premiums in 2021, compared to the previous year.

    In 2021, Metropolitan recorded gross written premiums amounting 523 million RON, compared to the same period in 2020, when the value of gross written premiums amounted 415 million RON.

    “Metropolitan Life’s priority to provide flexible services and products that address the needs of our customers, at every stage of their lives, has placed us on an important position on the life insurance market. The results show us that, in 2021, our company has continued to further strengthen its position as a reliable partner for Romanians. To support this direction and to provide financial protection to families across the country, we will continue to focus on building the team and sustainable partnerships, as well as digitizing and simplifying our services in line with new trends” says Carmina Dragomir, CEO Metropolitan Life, overseeing CZ, SK, HU, BU and UA.

    Regarding the allowances paid in 2021, the company achieved a value of 156 million RON, up by 34 percent compared to the same period in 2020, when they reached the amount of 116 million RON.
