    Nuclearelectrica reconnects Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 to the National Energy System

    Nuclearelectrica announces that Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 was reconnected to the National Energy System.

    Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 was shut down in a controlled manner on the night of January 22 to January 23 in order to carry out remediation works to the classic/secondary circuit of Unit 1.

    “The remediation works were carried out in compliance with the specific procedures applicable in such situations. The controlled shutdown of Unit 1 and remediation works had no impact on nuclear safety, personnel, population or environment,” a release shows.
