Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia, the energy supply companies of the Enel Group in Romania, have exceeded the threshold of 1 million customers who preferred the invoice in electronic format and gave up the printed one.

With a single invoice received by e-mail or text message, instead of the two sheets of paper sent in the envelope, the over 1 million customers save up to 2,500 trees per year making their contribution to a healthier environment, a release shows.

Between March and October 2020, due to the acceleration of the digital transformation processes and the company efforts to popularize these solutions, the number of MyEnel accounts increased by almost 50% and that of customers who downloaded MyEnel application doubled, compared to the same period 2019.

The companies in the Enel Group have progressively expanded the services and products that can be accessed online in Romania, with a direct impact in the business area. Thus, between January and October 2020, the company welcomed 56,000 new clients who concluded online contracts for the supply of electricity or natural gas, an increase of over 40% from the entire year 2019.
