    Romanian Banking Association announces new Board of Directors

    The General Assembly of the Romanian Banking Association (ARB) convened in a meeting today voted the new composition of the Board of Directors as a result of filling the two vacant membership positions. The management of the Board of Directors of ARB is provided by Sergiu Oprescu, President of the Board of Directors, Luminița Runcan, Vice President, Francois Bloch, Mihaela Bitu and Dan Sandu elected as members, to which are added starting today Mioara Popescu and Cristian Agalopol.

    The Board of Directors is the deliberative and decisional body of the ARB, the term of office of the members being three years. Radu Grațian Ghețea holds the position of Honorary President of the Romanian Banking Association. The executive management is provided by the Executive President, Florin Dănescu.

    The Romanian Association of Banks and its members came to meet the increasingly complex needs of the Romanian population, companies and state to counteract the negative effects caused by the pandemic context.

    Approximately 22% of the ongoing loans granted to the population benefited from the suspension of monthly payment obligations, and in the corporate area the percentage is 28%, a press release shows.
