    Stefan Baciu, SAS Romania: “Our vision is to transform a world that offers a huge amount of data into an intelligent world”

    “A coherent smart city approach must put the citizen in the center of attention. The ability of the authorities to understand the needs of citizens is very important. We are in a complicated context that has accelerated the growth of digitalization. All this digitization contributes to a massive increase in the amount of data,” Stefan Baciu, Country Sales Leader, SAS Romania & Rep. Moldova said during the Smart Transformation Forum organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

    “Our vision is to transform a world that offers a huge amount of data into an intelligent world,” he explained.

    “We have projects in the area of ​​smart energy, reducing energy consumption, smart water, smart transportation – traffic monitoring. We are very interested in increasing the level of preparation of existing resources in these areas of AI and advanced decision support systems. One approach I want to implement in the next period is to create centers of excellence for advanced analytics that manage various challenges, ideas. In Romania there are many people well trained in terms of technology. The future will lead us to a more advanced use of technologies.”
