Nuclearelectrica announces that Cernavoda NPP Unit 2 was reconnected to the National Energy System on August 31, 07:00 hours.

Cernavoda NPP Unit 2 was automatically disconnected from the grid in the morning of August 29, 2020 because of a dysfunctionality within the classical part of the Unit, with no impact on the nuclear part, SNN says.

The repair workings and automatic disconnection from the grid have had no impact on the nuclear safety, personnel, population and environment, being performed in compliance with the applicable procedures of the nuclear power plant, a release shows.
