    German pumps and pump systems manufacturer Wilo SE invests 6.9 mln Euro in regional hub near Bucharest

    German pumps and pump systems manufacturer Wilo SE said on Monday it has invested 6.9 million euro ($8 million) in Romania in a regional hub in Otopeni, near Bucharest.

    From the regional hub Wilo will manage operations for ten countries, as well as serve the company’s local headquarters, it said in a press release.

    “This project has a strategic role for Wilo in Eastern Europe. The 6.9 million euro investment is strongly anchored in the development partnerships in the area, made in order to successfully and promptly respond  to requests for services and solutions for heating, air conditioning and cooling, water supply and wastewater installations, in Romania and the region,” Wilo Romania and Moldova managing director Gabriel Nita said.

    Wilo SE is a manufacturer of pumps and pump systems for the building technology, water and industrial sectors with headquarters in Dortmund, Germany, which employs more than 6,700 in 60 countries.

    The company is present in Romania since 1998.
