Maria Manicuta, Director Grid Tariffs, says ANRE needs to encourage distribution operators to increase their flexibility regarding the operation data of the transmission and distribution networks, but also the transport services. “We need to strengthen the monitoring of investment plans issued by market operators,” Manicuta underlined. “Digital transformation is a necessity, but also a challenge. The technical condition of the electrical networks is characterized by higher losses than the European average. Investments in large transport networks are very necessary. Digitalization, decentralization, market competition, and increasing transparency in creating the single market cannot be done without a modern functional infrastructure.”
