Alro Slatina starts COVID-19 testing for its most exposed employees

    Published on

Alro Slatina, one of the largest vertically integrated aluminium producers in Europe, measured by production capacity, started a screening process with quick COVID-19 tests, company funded, for some of its most exposed employees. The personnel from the Transport Department was the first tested category.

“We experience exceptional times when exceptional measures need to be taken in order to ensure that all our employees work in a safe environment and go home healthy to their families. This is the reason why we decided to implement even more and stricter procedures and protocols, to test employees who are the most exposed to being infected and to ensure that everyone working at ALRO or coming in contact with our employees is safe,” said Gheorghe Dobra, Chief Executive Officer ALRO Slatina.

All Alro employees received medical and protective supplies and equipment, such as face masks, gloves, overalls and were instructed how to act to prevent their infection with COVID-19. All areas of the plant are permanently cleaned, sanitized and disinfected. The employees are required to periodically (frequency vary function of the job area) declare their health status or any contact with potentially infected persons.
