Romanian group Agricover invests 2 million Euro to increase production and packaging for Peris slaughter house

    Published on

Romanian group Agricover has invested 2 million Euro to increase production and packaging capacity for its Peris slaughter house, one of the most largest pork processing units in the country.

“In this new context, we needed to make a quick decision in order to meet market demand. Starting with May 1, 2020, we will double the production capacity for value-added products. The current investment is similar to the one carried out last year for the replacement of the wastewater treatment plant,” said Bogdan Grama, General Manager, Peris Slaughterhouse.

Inaugurated in July 2015 and benefiting from investments of over 20 million Euro, Periș Slaughterhouse is the second largest and most modern pork processing unit in Romania, with a slaughtering capacity of over 500,000 pigs per year.
