OMV Petrom announces the decisions adopted at the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on April 27. The company has approved the budget for 2020 and will distribute to shareholders around 1.76 billion RON as dividends for 2019.

“We have maintained our proposal to distribute dividends, despite the pressure on our industry, in the context of the coronavirus pandemic and the sharp drop in crude oil prices. The approved dividend reflects the 2019 performance of OMV Petrom. During this difficult period, we maintain our commitments to our shareholders – including the Romanian state,” said Christina Verchere, CEO of OMV Petrom.

The Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders approved the proposal of the Management Board to distribute dividends in gross value of 0.031 RON/ share for the financial year 2019, increasing by 15 percent compared to 2018. The total gross value of dividends to be distributed amounts to approximately 1.76 billion RON, representing 48 percent of the net profit attributable to the shareholders of OMV Petrom for the year 2019.
