Romania needs a national fund for energy efficiency investments, says Radu Dudau

Romania needs a national fund for energy efficiency investments, according to Radu Dudau, Director, Energy Policy Group.

“Financing investments will be difficult in this crisis period. We need to see how we can mobilize the energy sector. Energy efficiency has huge potential. We need a national energy efficiency investment fund. The institutional structure of such a fund is prepared, and these investments can represent a huge chance for Romania to reduce CO2 emissions and increase wellbeing, but also for the benefits of energy security,” Dudau said at the webinar organized by EM 360 and Sustainable Romania.

Dudau underlined that the government must use the tools at its disposal to inject liquidity into the market in an intelligent way that will prevent inflation effects.
