Mintia gas-fired power plant could be the first investment financed through the Modernization Fund/ Article 10d, Secretary of State Niculae Havrilet said.

“There are many projects, about 140. The first to qualify would be the gas plant from Mintia, an investment of Romgaz, which has the feasibility study adopted. It is the first one that has all the qualification data,” Havrilet said at a webinar organized by EM 360 and Sustainable Romania.

The Secretary of State said the European Commission will finalize the implementation mechanism “in a couple of days” and it will send it to member countries to serve as a basis for future projects proposals.
