    EXCLUSIVE Electrica Furnizare to launch E-mobility service for household consumers in 2020

    Electrica Furnizare, the biggest national supplier of electricity and a branch of Electrica Group, will launch an E-mobility service for Romanian houseld consumers in 2020, company officials said in an interview for The Diplomat-Bucharest. The company currently offers this service only to local businesses.

    Electrica Furnizare aims to contribute to the development of a complex infrastructure for charging electric vehicles (hardware and software solutions, station management platform, maintenance) throughout the country, in order to support the environment protection.

    The company already acquired the first electric cars for its fleet and wants to continue this project in the upcoming years.

    “In 2019, the number of electric cars registered in Romania has doubled compared to 2018. Given that the future belongs to electric cars, Electrica Furnizare is considering an extension of the E-Mobility service and intends to launch in the next 12 months a product dedicated to household consumers,” according to representatives of the electricity provider.

    Electrica Furnizare offers customized E-mobility solutions, which include integrated services of preliminary technical evaluation, design, installation work for electrical stations, periodic maintenance, consultancy and support, station management software solutions. For example, a very simple solution can cost around 5,000 Euro, with prices reaching 150,000 Euro for more complex solutions.
