    OTP Bank acquires the Slovenian subsidiary of Societe Generale Group

    OTP Bank announces the acquisition of SKB Banka, the Slovenian subsidiary of the French group Societe Generale Group.

    Following the transaction, OTP Bank becomes the owner of 99.73% in SKB Banka and other local subsidiaries held by the bank. With a market share of nearly 9%, SKB Banka is the 4th largest bank on the Slovenian banking market, active in the retail and corporate segment.

    With the acquisition of the Slovenian bank, OTP Group is now present in 12 countries in the Central and Eastern European region.
