Romanian real estate market to see slight growth in 2019

    Published on

The real estate market in Romania may have a modest increase of around five percent in 2019, according to Simon Rubinsohn, Chief Economist, RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).

“Growth will be relatively modest, moderate growth, rather close to five percent than ten percent,” said Rubinsohn. “The market had a good development, and I noticed when talking to investors that they are a bit more cautious about the market today. They look at other more stable markets, but where the revenues could be lower.”

He believes the domestic market looks “reasonably well”. On the employment side, the market is solid, and if it remains firm, then it will support investments.
