Transelectrica accelerates the upgrade process for the Domnesti station

    Published on

Transelectrica continues the process of upgrading the 400/220/110/20 kV Domnesti power station as part of the process of strengthening the electricity transmission network in Bucharest. The total value of the rehabilitation project for the Domnesti station, started in 2018, is 144 million RON (around 30 million Euro). The investment is due to be completed in 2020.

“The rehabilitation of the Domnesti station is one of the most important investment projects that Transelectrica is conducting for the Bucharest area. The 400/110 / 20kV Domnesti station is of particular importance for the Electric Transport Network, representing an important energy hub for the supply of a significant part of Bucharest’s consumers. The investment involves the refurbishment of the station at all levels of voltage in order to bring it to a level of safety and reliability corresponding to the importance of the area and the energy objective, using modern technology at a global level, “said Marius Danut Carasol, president of CNTEE Transelectrica.
