Telekom to increase prices starting April 15

    Published on

Telekom Romania announced that it would increase prices for some of its services. Telekom will increase prices for each fixed service (fixed voice, Internet, TV) and each mobile subscription for the residential customers by EUR 0.42, VAT included, starting April 15.

The price increase is the consequence of OUG 114/2018, which put a 3 percent tax on the operators’ revenues.

”As a result of the increase of costs associated with the provision of communications services, Telekom Romania is constrained to increase the price for all portfolio services (fixed and mobile) addressing residential and business customers, starting April 15, 2019,” a press release shows.

This increase does not apply to television options, handsets instalments or fixed equipment rents. Business customers will receive a written notification announcing changes in their contracts, as well.
