PeliPartners acted as Romanian counsel to RSJ SF Czech Republic in connection with a term loan facility granted by PPF banka a.s. to the Romanian project company behind the 72 MW Frăsinet 1 battery energy storage system (BESS) in southern Romania.
PeliPartners advised on the negotiation of the facility agreement and the Romanian security documentation, and supported the transaction through to signing and closing. The facility is structured in two tranches, covering the project’s development costs and its subsequent operational phase.
The transaction builds on PeliPartners’ long-standing relationship with its client, which PeliPartners has advised continuously throughout the project’s life cycle, from its acquisition through corporate, real estate and energy regulatory matters, culminating in the successful completion of the Frăsinet 1 BESS financing. This continued involvement reflects PeliPartners’ integrated approach to supporting energy projects from inception through financing and into operation.
The PeliPartners team was coordinated by Carmen Peli (Partner) and Delia Lepădatu (Managing Associate).
