Schneider Electric launches EcoSet Config, a digital platform designed to simplify and accelerate the design, configuration, and quotation of low-voltage electrical switchboards.
Developed primarily for panel builders, electrical designers, contractors, and engineering companies, EcoSet Config brings together the essential stages of a project in a single digital environment, from equipment selection and switchboard configuration to the generation of bills of materials, technical documentation, and cost estimates. The solution can be used to design low-voltage switchboards up to 3,200 A, and up to 4,000 A for certified partners, helping professionals deliver projects faster, more accurately, and more sustainably.
EcoSet Config is designed to support the entire workflow of professionals involved in the design and manufacturing of electrical switchboards. The platform provides an intuitive interface with 2D and 3D visualization, enabling users to design the switchboard architecture and view electrical and mechanical components in real time.
An important advantage is the platform’s automatic configuration validation, which guides product selection and checks component compatibility. The solution also offers both automatic and manual configuration, supporting users who require a fast process based on standard configurations as well as specialists who need a high level of customization.
The platform provides access to an up-to-date product database and allows users to save frequently used configurations in personalized libraries for quick reuse in future projects or quotations.
“The digitalization of the electrical switchboard design process is a natural step forward for an industry where precision, speed of execution, and compliance are essential. With EcoSet Config, we are providing professionals with a tool that simplifies repetitive tasks and allows them to focus more on the technical solution and the specific requirements of each project. At the same time, automated validation and access to up-to-date information help reduce errors and increase the efficiency of the entire process,” says Aurelia Voican, Offer Manager & Software Specialist, Schneider Electric Romania.
EcoSet Config automates a range of activities that traditionally require significant time and manual intervention. Users can automatically generate bills of materials (BOMs), front-view drawings of the switchboard, cost estimates, and other materials required to prepare a quotation.
The platform is designed to guide users in accordance with the installation requirements for Schneider Electric low-voltage solutions and the IEC 61439-1 standard.
