SAP has appointed Hermann Erlach as Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe, effective October 1, 2026. In his new role, Erlach will oversee SAP’s operations across 24 countries in Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Romania is among the countries he is responsible for. He will be based in Vienna, Austria.
Erlach joins SAP from Microsoft Austria, where, as General Manager, he led the organization through a period of rapid technological and market change.
His appointment marks Erlach’s return to SAP. Between 2008 and 2015, he held several leadership positions at the company, gaining experience across sales, services, customer engagement and business transformation at both local and regional levels.
Over the course of an international leadership career spanning more than 20 years, Erlach has also held roles in management consulting, technology services, enterprise sales and organizational transformation.
