Romgaz reported a consolidated net profit of 1.73 billion RON in the first half of 2026, up 3.37 percent, or RON 56.66 million, compared with the same period last year, according to a report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Net profit in the second quarter of 2026 was 4.74 percent higher than in Q2 2025, while consolidated earnings per share (EPS) stood at RON 0.45.
Romgaz maintained strong profitability margins during the first six months of the year. The consolidated net profit margin reached 44.71 percent, while the EBIT and EBITDA margins stood at 46.66 percent and 53.49 percent, respectively. In H1 2025, the corresponding margins were 39.53 percent, 46.19 percent and 54.33 percent.
Romania’s natural gas consumption increased by approximately 3 percent in H1 2026 compared with the same period of 2025. Romgaz held a 43.3 percent market share, around 4 percent below the level recorded a year earlier.
Natural gas production amounted to 2,401.3 million cubic metres in the first six months of 2026, down 3.39 percent year-on-year.
By contrast, condensate production increased by 10.31 percent compared with H1 2025.
Romgaz’s electricity production totaled 181.952 GWh in H1 2026, down by 159.526 GWh, or 46.71 percent, from the corresponding period of 2025.
