    Published on

Nuclearelectrica announces that, at this time, there is a possibility of a controlled shutdown of Unit 2 of the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant on the morning of August 13, 2026.

“The possibility of a controlled shutdown of Unit 2 is based on monitoring of INHGA forecasts for the coming period, the drop in the Danube River’s water level, and operating parameters. Should the shutdown of Unit 2 be imminent on the morning of August 13, 2026, Nuclearelectrica will issue a statement regarding this matter,” the company said.
