PPC Group announces the signing of a strategic agreement with the German company ABO Energy GmbH & Co. KGaA for the acquisition of its subsidiaries in Poland and Hungary, along with a renewable energy project portfolio with a total capacity of over 2 GW.

Through this agreement, PPC Group acquires ABO Energy Polska z.o.o. and ABO Energy Hungary Kft., integrating two fully staffed project development platforms along with the specialized teams operating in each country. The portfolio includes 29 SPVs holding 99 MW of PV projects in operation or nearing completion, and over 2 GW of projects (photovoltaic, wind and storage) in various stages of development.

This new business move, which follows PPC Group’s recent entry into the Hungarian market (with the agreement to acquire a 57.5 MW solar park) and the Polish market (with the agreement to acquire a 277.3 MW RES portfolio), significantly accelerates the implementation of the Group’s new strategic growth plan for the 2026-2030 period. The plan provides for the Group’s expansion through RES and storage projects in Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia, via both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

This agreement directly supports the Group’s regional targets. The closing of the agreement for ABO Energy’s subsidiary in Poland is expected in September 2026, and for Hungary within the fourth quarter of 2026.

The completion of the transactions is subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions precedent for transactions of this nature, including, among others, obtaining the necessary approvals from the relevant supervisory authorities.

To capitalize on the significant opportunities across the wider region, PPC Group is accelerating its growth, targeting a doubling of its total installed capacity to 24.3 GW by 2030, from 12.4 GW in 2025. This will be achieved by significantly increasing new capacity additions to 2.4 GW per year, primarily across renewables, flexible generation and energy storage.
