The “Education, Leadership, Vocation – She for Romania” campaign, initiated by the Ministry of National Defense in partnership with the European Business Women’s Patronage PEFA and supported by CEC Bank, continued at the “Mircea cel Bătrân” Naval Academy in Constanta, where over 200 students participated in a dialogue about education, leadership, vocation.

The event brought together leading representatives from the military and business sectors, who discussed with the students the importance of education, mentoring and assuming a professional and vocational mission in the service of the community and the country. During the meeting, topics such as authentic leadership, the challenges of starting a career, turning failure into an opportunity for development, adapting to change and the importance of values in building a solid professional path were addressed.

Captain Alina Stanca, National Focal Point in the field of Women, Peace and Security, said: “The Education, Leadership, Vocation Campaign – She for Romania, held at the Naval Academy <Mircea cel Bătrân> offered students the opportunity for a direct dialogue with leaders from the military and the private sector, highlighting the importance of education, mentoring and authentic leadership. The activity reconfirmed the value of public-private partnership in preparing the next generation of young people and strengthening the resilience of society.”

Andreea Negru, President of PEFA, considers “Authentic leadership is not taught, but is built through example, dialogue and responsibility. Young people need real benchmarks and leaders to share their experiences, including difficult moments. Their curiosity, determination and desire to contribute to Romania’s development confirm that investing in education and character building is the most valuable investment we can make. PEFA will continue to stand by young people and create contexts in which they can discover their vocation and develop their leadership potential.”

The “Education, Leadership, Vocation – She for Romania” campaign aims to create a platform for dialogue between young people and leaders in strategic fields, promoting education, equal opportunities, performance and the development of a leadership culture based on competence, integrity and responsibility.

Lorena Stoian, First Vice-President of PEFA, said: “Young people need inspiration, but especially authentic examples. The Naval Academy has shown us once again that discipline, education and vocation are the foundation of leadership. We are glad that, through this campaign, we can create bridges between generations and contribute to the formation of Romania’s future leaders. PEFA reaffirms its commitment to support projects dedicated to the development of human capital and the consolidation of a society based on education, competence and civic involvement”.

As a partner of the campaign, CEC Bank supports investments in education and leadership development as essential elements for Romania’s future.

Mirela Iovu, Vice President of CEC Bank, said: “SHE FOR ROMANIA” represents a reconfirmation of our deep commitment to education, resilience and leadership. As a traditional institution, we strongly believe that the strength of a solid society is built through vocation, integrity and the power of mentoring. Investing in people, female leadership and equal opportunities is the safest investment in the future. We were proud to support these extraordinary young people and we are certain that, through the close partnership between the academic, military and business environment, we are laying the foundations for a stronger and safer Romania”.

The “Education, Leadership, Vocation – She for Romania” campaign is organized by the Ministry of National Defense, in partnership with the European Business Women’s Patronage PEFA and with the support of CEC Bank, with the objective of promoting education, leadership and vocational development among young people. Through the meetings organized in military and civilian educational institutions, the project facilitates the dialogue between the new generations and leaders in key areas of society, contributing to the training of responsible professionals and to the consolidation of a culture of performance, integrity and equal opportunities
