Hidroelectrica signed today the contract for the turnkey development of the Tudor Vladimirescu Photovoltaic Power Plant (PV Plant), located in Brăila County, a landmark project within the company’s strategy to diversify its renewable energy generation portfolio.
The contract was awarded through an open tender procedure to Enevo Group and has a value of RON 151.2 million (compared to the initially estimated value of RON 158.6 million, excluding VAT), covering the design, procurement of equipment, execution of works and commissioning of the plant — an integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) project.
The installed capacity is 45.94 MWp, while the estimated annual electricity production amounts to 59.21 GWh/year. The total duration of the contract is 36 months, of which 24 months represent the actual execution period.
Hidroelectrica is the largest renewable energy producer in Romania, operating a portfolio of 188 hydropower plants and one wind power plant, with a total installed capacity of 6.5 GW, including the Crucea Wind Farm with an installed capacity of 108 MW. At the same time, Hidroelectrica is the largest electricity supplier in Romania, both on the competitive segment and across the overall electricity supply market.
