Simona Halep becomes Brand Ambassador for AnimaWings

    Published on

AnimaWings, the 100% Romanian airline company, announces its partnership with Simona Halep, the most successful tennis player in Romania’s history, who joins the company’s most ambitious private Romanian project as brand ambassador. Currently undergoing a period of accelerated expansion, the airline is growing its fleet to eight aircraft and will operate more than 50 air routes this summer.

“Simona Halep is one of the strongest symbols of performance and professionalism in Romania, and we are delighted that she has chosen to join AnimaWings during this extremely important stage for the company. This partnership reflects the values we believe in: reliability, excellence, ambition, and building a modern Romanian brand capable of competing internationally. Associating with Simona Halep validates the direction in which AnimaWings is developing and the standards we aim to offer our passengers,” said Marius Pandel, CEO and co-founder of AnimaWings.

“I choose to support Romania and invest my time and image in a brand that inspires me. Professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for people are extremely important to me, and the experiences I have had on board AnimaWings flights convinced me that this Romanian brand has tremendous growth potential. I believe we need more examples of local companies that grow beautifully, with ambition and high standards, and I am happy to be part of this story,” said Simona Halep.

With the ambition of becoming a regional aviation player and developing a national flagship project, AnimaWings continues to invest in its fleet and currently operates seven aircraft, with the eighth set to arrive in Romania in the coming days. Six of these aircraft were delivered directly from the factory over the past 18 months, making AnimaWings the airline with the youngest fleet in Romanian aviation.

This summer, AnimaWings will operate more than 50 regular and charter routes to popular European tourist destinations, alongside important connections dedicated to the business segment and Romanian diaspora communities, departing from the country’s major cities.

The regular flight network includes key European destinations such as Paris, Geneva, Munich, and London from Bucharest, as well as Athens from Timișoara and Cluj-Napoca. Starting May 29, flights from Bucharest to Milan (Malpensa) will also be added. From July, Cluj-Napoca will be connected to Vienna and Frankfurt, while Timișoara will gain routes to Copenhagen and Rotterdam. Beginning in August, new flights from Bucharest to Rotterdam and Strasbourg will also be introduced.
