ALRO donates medical equipment to the National Institute for Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Balș”

ALRO, one of the largest vertically integrated aluminium producers in Europe, announces the completion of a donation of essential medical equipment aimed at improving healthcare services.

In partnership with the Association for Health and Successful Education (ASES), ALRO has made a new donation that includes medical beds for adults, pediatric medical beds, as well as waterproof mattresses intended for baby cribs, all indispensable for the proper care of young patients and meant to support medical activities.

“Both in business and in our social responsibility initiatives, ALRO has committed to long-term objectives, and these donations represent another concrete step in supporting the communities in which we operate,” said Marin Cilianu, Chief Executive Officer of ALRO. “The support we provide for medical activities does not end with this one-time donation. We see it as a natural continuation of our long-term partnership, through which we aim to consistently contribute to improving healthcare services and to creating better conditions for patients and medical staff,” added Marin Cilianu, CEO of ALRO.

This donation is part of the Company’s long-term partnership with the National Institute for Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Balș”, built on a foundation of ongoing collaboration. The partnership dates back to early 2021, when the company donated RON 100,000 to support efforts to combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

By continuing this partnership, ALRO reaffirms its commitment to actively contributing to the development and support of the communities in which it operates. Its involvement in projects with social impact, especially in the healthcare sector, reflects ALRO’s ongoing dedication to supporting medical institutions in Romania.
