Agroland Group reports net profit of RON 10.2 million, up 34 percent in 2025

    Published on

Romanian entrepreneurial group Agroland Group (BVB symbol: AG), active in retail, agribusiness, food production and animal nutrition, posted consolidated revenues of RON 358 million in 2025, marking a 17 percent increase year-on-year.

Net profit rose to RON 10.2 million, up 34 percent compared with 2024, while operating profit climbed 40 percent to RON 24.1 million. EBITDA reached RON 33.6 million, up 19 percent, with a margin of 9 percent.

“Results in 2025 confirm that our integrated model works and that our strategic direction is the right one,” said Horia Cardoș, founder and CEO. He highlighted the strong performance of the MEGA retail format, the acceleration of the Food division, and a solid financial position following bond repayments, a successful new bond issue, and disciplined investment financing.

Retail division remains the Group’s foundation

In 2025, Retail continued expanding its network and strengthening the MEGA concept. By year-end, Agroland operated 252 stores, including 37 MEGA and 215 traditional locations.

Across the entire network (owned stores, online, and franchises), net sales reached RON 252.5 million (+17 percent), serving 3.3 million customers (+13 percent), with an average basket of RON 81 (+3 percent).

Online sales climbed to RON 6.3 million (+43 percent), while franchise sales totaled RON 107.5 million (+8 percent).

    Food division drives accelerated growth

The Food division delivered the strongest performance, with sales of RON 65.6 million (+65 percent) and 75.6 million eggs sold (+30 percent).

The poultry platform in Mihăilești operates at a capacity of around 300,000 laying hens, supported by higher volumes and favorable pricing trends.

Agroland also expanded into organic (BIO) egg production, scaling a farm in Olt County to 10,000 hens by the end of 2025, targeting 20,000 hens by end-2026. Meanwhile, the liquid egg processing plant in Caransebeș is in its final setup phase.

    Agribusiness focuses on vertical integration

Agribusiness remained a key pillar, with factory output increasing 59 percent to approximately 28,900 tonnes.

Sales of agricultural inputs declined 5 percent to RON 46.8 million, mainly due to the removal of grain trading from consolidation, as cereals are now largely used internally for feed production.

Operationally, a seed processing station in Mehedinți County became operational in H1 2025 and a new production and packaging line in Șimian will launch in March 2026.

Plans for 2026 include integrating units in Caransebeș and a pet food factory in Bixad.
