Wetterbest, the second largest manufacturer of roofing systems in Romania, inaugurated a new production facility in Baicoi following an investment of 44.5 million RON. Wetterbest is part of the TeraPlast Group, the largest Romanian manufacturer of building materials.

The implementation of the investment project started in the second half of 2018 and was carried out in two phases. The project was partially co-financed through the state aid scheme, the value of the state aid being 8.64 million lei.

The new plant will have an annual production capacity of 10 million square meters of metal tile. As a result of the relocation, 42 new jobs were created, so that today the total number of Wetterbest employees is over 350 people.

Wetterbest’s objectives for this year are to increase the turnover and market share, increase the accessibility of the products through the development of the distribution network and increase the exports to the countries of the region.
