    One day left until the start of the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest (DISB) 2025

    There is only one day left until the start of the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest (DISB) 2025, an event organized by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest from April 8 to 11 at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest.

    Over 200 speakers from over 30 countries, government officials, industry leaders, emerging technology experts and academics will contribute to defining strategic directions for a safer and more sustainable digital future. The summit will begin with official messages from the Acting President of Romania, Ilie Bolojan, and the Prime Minister of Romania, Ion-Marcel Ciolacu, in the presence of senior officials from the Romanian Government and Parliament: two Deputy Prime Ministers of Romania, the Ministers of Finance, Education, Health, Labor, chairmen of the relevant parliamentary committees, as well as representatives of the national regulatory and digitalization authorities. Leaders of European institutions, international authorities in the field of cyber security and diplomacy, as well as academia and civil society will also participate.

    DISB 2025 is more than a summit – it is a platform for international connection, reflection and collaboration.

    The first day includes the International Conference on Cyber ​​Diplomacy, structured in four essential panels: International Cooperation on Strategies, Tools and Concerted Action, Building Capacity for Collective Responses to Cyber-attacks, Disinformation and Propaganda, Global Coordination on the Proliferation of Cyber ​​Intrusion Technologies and Tools and Ethical AI & Cyber ​​Sanctions: Balancing Innovation, Regulation, and Enforcement. The second day hosts the 8th edition of the Critical Infrastructure Protection Forum (CIP Forum), with the theme “Critical Infrastructure Protection 2025”.

    The topics addressed reflect the current challenges of critical infrastructures in a complex and digitalized geopolitical context. On Thursday, April 10, 2025, the first edition of the Blockchain Intelligence Forum takes place, organized with the support of the Basel Institute on Governance, ICI Bucharest and BIPA.

    The event brings together global leaders in the blockchain field, regulators, law enforcement, investors and companies, in a framework dedicated to combating financial crime and the use of technologies for transparency and compliance. Speakers include representatives of Europol, INTERPOL, ECB, JPMorgan Chase, WIPO, as well as top researchers from European universities. Also within DISB, the third day includes: the EURODEFENSE Annual Assembly, with a roundtable on security and defense in the new geopolitical context, an interactive cybersecurity exercise for public and private institutions, the World Intellectual Property Day Event, which marks the launch of the ENKIVERS project and the advance celebration of World Intellectual Property Day, and the ICVL and CNIV Conferences, with sessions dedicated to virtual education, artificial intelligence and digital instructional design, held online. The fourth day of the summit, Friday, April 11, brings to the fore one of the strategic industries for Romania and Europe – the automotive sector.

    The 6th edition of the Automotive R&D Conference brings together industry leaders, R&D experts, government representatives and international partners to discuss electrification, smart mobility, cybersecurity and digital transformation in the automotive sector. Under the theme “Power up the automotive potential in Romania”, the event addresses key topics such as the role of AI in predictive R&D processes, the challenges of charging infrastructure, regulations on electric mobility and the need for connected but also secure ecosystems.

    Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest 2025 is not just an event – it is a platform for collaboration, vision and shared responsibility.
