    DEER launches ChatVolt virtual assistant

    Published on

Distributie Energie Electrică Romania, the national leader in electricity distribution, today launches the ChatVolt virtual assistant, which will provide quick and updated information on interruptions in the electricity supply, support in the transmission of the self-reading index and will record alerts regarding disturbances, through an automatic and easy to use interaction.

“DEER respects its commitments of transparency, accessibility and effective communication, continuing the process of accelerating the modernization and digitization of the services it offers. We are glad that through the new site, launched last month, we have been able to offer a pleasant and, above all, useful and easy browsing experience for visitors to our platform, regardless of their level of familiarity with technology. As we announced, to adapt to the modern requirements of web applications, the DEER website has, starting today, integrated a chatbot, with the aim of supporting business objectives and offering our users the opportunity to receive quick information and updated regarding interruptions in the electricity supply, but also support in the transmission of the auto-read index. By developing these applications, we want to benefit as much as possible from modern technology, in order to fulfill our objectives and permanently increase the degree of satisfaction of the nearly 4 million users”, says Mihaela Rodica Suciu, General Director.

“The ChatVolt virtual assistant was designed and integrated into the new DEER website with the aim of answering, with a high degree of accuracy, the questions of our users. Chat Volt will help us reduce the waiting time in the Call Center, users having the possibility to check in real time the interruptions in the electricity supply and, at the same time, report accidental interruptions based on the POD code, related to the place of consumption, so that it is possible location identification and operative team intervention. In addition, planned outages can be checked quickly and easily, one click away. Thus, this virtual assistant, which we have named ChatVolt, not only simplifies the process of reporting disturbances, but also provides automated assistance to consumers for the most frequently asked questions and facilitates the process of submitting the self-reading index, improving the customer experience”, says Paul Negrea, Director of the Corporate Control, Legality and Complaints Department, DEER.

In situations where users want to know or provide additional information, regarding a disturbance, they will be automatically transferred to the Call Center service.
