The Ministry of Energy announced the launch of Electric Up 2, the program that offers support to SMEs and the HORECA sector for the installation of photovoltaic panels and charging stations for electric vehicles
“In order to prepare a new financing cycle of the “ELECTRIC UP” Program, the Ministry of Energy has developed and put into public consultation the draft normative act for the amendment of the Emergency Ordinance no. 159/2020 regarding the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises and the HORECA field for the installation photovoltaic panel systems for the production of electricity with an installed power of between 27 kWp and 100 kWp required for own consumption and the delivery of the surplus to the National Energy System, as well as recharging stations of at least 22kW for electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, approved with amendments and additions by Law no. 12/2022″, says the Ministry of Energy in a press release.
Through the “ELECTRIC UP 2” Program, a de minimis aid is granted to the beneficiaries in a maximum amount of 150,000 euros/beneficiary, representing a maximum of 75% of the value of the eligible expenses, the remaining 25% representing co-financing from the beneficiary’s own sources.
“Ever since taking over the mandate, I have talked about green energy, about supporting the private environment, about investments that create jobs and development. This normative act is part of this assumed mission. Moreover, through this approach we are supporting sectors with high dynamics, small and medium enterprises and the HORECA field.
The purpose of the “ELECTRIC UP” financing program is to support the business environment by financing investment projects in the development of electricity production capacities from renewable sources with the aim of ensuring own consumption, the development of the transport infrastructure for electric vehicles and the increase in the number of electric vehicles and electric hybrid plug-in registered, as well as the development of the consumption of thermal energy produced from renewable energy sources”, said Sebastian Burduja, Minister of Energy.
