Cargus launches e-Commerce platform for entrepreneurs and individuals with recurring shipments

Cargus launches the e-Commerce platform SIGN & GO dedicated to PFA, micro and SME entities, as well as individuals who send parcels on a recurring basis.

“The growth speed and diversification of online commerce in Romania generates a series of important changes in the expectations and needs of entrepreneurs, but also of individuals who use shipping services frequently. We understood that it was necessary to take an extra step, which is why we have invested consistently in the accelerated digitization of our services, which would provide customers with a simplified, automated and efficient experience. In short, a much better one. The SIGN & GO e-Commerce platform, a first in the courier industry in Romania, is a guarantee of the fast and efficient way in which the interaction with us is carried out. Everything can happen online: from identifying the services compatible with the customer profile, contracting online, accessing the customer account, managing shipments – sending, modifying, forwarding, and even tracking parcels and paying for them.” says Andreea Radu, Marketing Director Cargus.

Also, the e-Commerce platform responds to the need for automation and efficiency specific to these segments and completes the portfolio of digital solutions developed by Cargus, for recipients and occasional senders, such as the Cargus Mobile App, an application that has exceeded 1 million downloads.

“The decision to launch the e-Commerce platform was based on market trends that will strengthen in the medium and long term. Over 60%% of PFA, micro and SME entities have recurring shipments of up to 20 parcels or envelopes per month, according to existing market data. Moreover, courier services will increase in importance for individuals, due to the increasing adoption of the concepts of re-Commerce (pre-owned) and reversed logistics (return), but also due to the actual growth of this segment – the estimates shows that the number of individuals will increase in the coming years from approximately 6 million to over 8.5 million users. Both categories need costs adapted to the recurrent, but also automation and efficiency”, states Andreea Radu.
