Michal Mrowiec, the current Sales Vicepresident of Kompania Piwowarska, will take over the role of Ursus Breweries President starting with January 1, 2023, after Paul Barnetts decision to return to his home country, Australia.

In the last 7 years, Michal Mrowiec has been part of  Kompania Piwowarska, the Polish business of Asahi Europe & International. Prior to that, he was the Commercial Director of Coca Cola HBC in Poland and Sales Vicepresident of Unilever, implementing several organizational transformation initiatives. Michal has a master’s degree at Economic University in Katowice, Poland.

“This appointment, as Ursus Breweries President, honors me and I am happy to come to Romania – a country which is very much like my home country, Poland. The team here has good performance, and the company already is the beer market leader. I have enthusiastically accepted the challenge to continue the sustainable development and commercial growth projects started by Paul and the team. I will work closely with my new colleagues and hope to contribute with my know-how and experience so that we maintain the same top spot in Romanian consumers’ preferences,” said Michal Mrowiec.
